Why minimums exist

Every custom run starts with setup: mixing vinyl colors, making screens or foil dies, setting up presses, adjusting equipment to your size. On a very short run, that setup would dominate the cost of every piece. Minimums keep the per-unit price sensible.

How minimums differ

• Screen printed or foil stamped vinyl — the most short-run friendly combination; small runs are practical.
• Poly binders — similar to vinyl for screen printed designs.
• Turned edge — casemade construction is hand-work intensive, which actually suits shorter premium runs well.
• Litho wrap and entrapment — full-color printing carries press setup, so these deliver their best value at a few hundred pieces and up; digital printing has made shorter full-color runs practical too.

Making a short run work

• Choose one-color screen printing or foil stamping over full-color methods.
• Use stock vinyl colors and standard sizes.
• Combine departments or events into one order of a single design.
• Ask about digital printing for short-run full color.
